Overview

Shannon Aviation Museum is committed to making our website accessible to everyone and delivering a universally accessible user experience. As we strive to not only meet this goal but also surpass the requirements, we realise that all areas of our website may not yet be fully accessible. Our ongoing efforts to make improvements include rolling out new and updated features. 

 

Current State of Accessibility

shannonaviationmuseum.com is not currently conformant to WCAG 2.1. 

 

Accessible Content

We are constantly working to improve accessibility on older portions of our website. So far we have fixed the following issues: 

• Implemented a colour management system that supports accessibility. 
• Forms designed for accessibility. 
• Used colour with care
• Heading styles are used correctly
• Fully responsive website
• Content can be accessed through a keyboard in an accessible way. 
• Naming of images

 

Despite our best efforts to fix these issues, some items may not yet be fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate solution. We sincerely apologise for these inconveniences.
