Students will have the opportunity to learn about the physics of flight and some of the engineering that makes it possible!
During the week, students get to meet real role models working as pilots, engineers and air traffic controllers. They will also learn about the Aircraft Leasing sector and the history of its beginnings right here in Shannon. There’s a vast range of careers in this area, AerCap, kind sponsors for the week, will be there to talk about their diverse roles.
The week also includes a behind the scenes tour of an aircraft engine repair facility, a maintenance training centre and a tour of a live aircraft maintenance hangar, it’s a real eye opener for future engineers!
Plus, everyone gets a chance to fly the B737NG flight simulator with an airline pilot, a real highlight of the week!
