Birthday Party in style at Shannon Aviation Museum, it’s a must for any budding pilot and their crew. This is a great idea for older children and a great opportunity to introduce curious minds to new ideas in a fun way.
Everyone will dress up in the flying suits before learning how aircraft fly, about the 4 forces of flight and how the aircraft is controlled during a demo lesson. Then its time to take to the sky for a virtual flight, then a guided tour of the museum and some great photos to remember your special day!

- Get Dressed up in a Flying Suit first!
- Then have a 15 minute pre-flight lesson on the basic theory of flight, the parts of the aircraft, control surfaces and flight instruments.
- Each crew of two fly in turns, working as a team to complete the course.
- Their challenge is a race in the Red Bull Extra 300 high-performance aircraft! Take off from New York’s JFK airport, The mission is to find the Statue of Liberty and then to fly under the Brooklyn Bridge, around the Empire State Building and back to JFK for their best landing!
- After all that, take part in an exciting guided tour of the Aviation Museum, take some photos and sit into a real aircraft. The birthday host gets to demonstrate how a life vest is used, everyone signs it and as a memento, the birthday boy or girl gets to take the life vest home!
